Bunny Time💛

💛🐇    I love bunnies.  My current collection of bunny-themed items is at about 80— I have stuffed cloth bunnies; ceramic and wooden ones; silver charms; plates, napkins, rubber stamps, a purse, a spoon, a letter opener, a spice rack, a music box,  an outdoor wooden bench— all with rabbit images— and a bunny (piggy) bank. And there are probably more to come…you know how rabbits multiply!

I recently added to my bunny love when I  discovered a bunny behavior that is new to me…and perhaps you.  It’s called a binky.  According to various on-line sources, a  binky is a “joyful acrobatic leap or twisting jump” that a bunny performs when it is feeling “safe, comfortable and full of energy.” Apparently, all bunnies are capable of a binky if “their needs for companionship, space and stimulation are met.” Wow! 

Things that can get in the way of a bunny binkying  are “pain, loneliness, lack of space, fear or environmental stress.” 

If you want to see what a binky looks like, there are many on-line videos, as you can imagine, but that, as we know, can be like “going down a rabbit hole.” (Ha-ha)

This binky business sounds as if it has much to teach us.  Plus, just looking at happy bunnies can create a smile!
