What a Concept!
This past week, my husband and I visited a Farmers Market in Baywood, California, a small community connected to Los Osos on the Central Coast.
As we were strolling through the small market, tasting a piece of white peach here, a piece of sharp cheese there, I noticed people walking with small vases of flowers.
Finally, I reached the source of those flowers–a man with a tableful of single blooms and sweet bouquets in vases. I fell for a single dahlia in a small vase. And for only $3.00! What a concept! So I joined the stream of smiling people holding their flowers as they continued to shop for food.
And that little flower graced our lives for the next few days–on our coffee table at our inn, then in a coffee mug holder in between the seats of our car as we drove up the coast, and finally on our dining table at home.
Amazing what $3.00 can do!
Sometimes, it really is the little things in life that bring great joy!
We just need to remember that!
What a charming idea! I’m passing this on to Stella, my 7 year old granddaughter, who is always selling something from a table in front of their home!
Love it! Let me know what her next item-to-sell is!
A single flower!
